Korean Food

Today my family decides to take me out for my belated birthday dinner. We went to a Korean BBQ restaurant in Taipan, USJ. It's called Han Woo Ri, above Old Town Coffee. The food was nice, not over powering as some Asian food can be especially if you're not familiar with that food culture. This is only my 2nd time eating Korean food, the last I had was like 3 years ago I think? I used my phone camera this round:
I was trying to arrange my cutleries and saucers (pic above) in this manner so as to take a nice geometric picture but the waiter kept moving it back into it's original position as how the food was to be displayed. It was quite funny, before I could snap, he comes back to put it back, then I'd rearrange ready to snap again. This time I snapped in time before he moved it again.
The charcoal. It's donut shaped...interesting.
I think Korea is famous for their Plum Wine? Not too sure.
The family and friend, check out the amount of stuff on the table, wait it gets more!
We had beef, pork, and chicken. Below is the beef.
Oh my first time trying Rice Water...interesting too, it's suppose to be cooling for you. It tasted somewhat like barley but I wasn't use to the concept. Every sip reminds me of me washing the rice before cooking it and how mirky the water and that's what I'm possibly drinking. Hahahaha...Overall I like how the waiters were really attentive to your table and needs, though they need to work on their speech :) Good dinner thanks to my bro. Oh if you want to see more pics, I got this link from other people's blogs:

Came home and watched a bit of American Idol Season 10. I'm liking Steve Tyler and Jennifer Lopez :) Today's opening episode, seem to feature more good singers than the usual contestants they try to poke fun of. I wonder if they are changing their style to be more serious, which I love!

After that I watched Junior Master Chef Australia. GOODNESS! I was in shocked and awe at the maturity and talent this 8-12 year olds have! Really cannot believe what I was seeing. TOO AMAZING! And I'm loving the judges too! They are so encouraging, constantly affirming the kids while they cook under pressure and stress, always joking, playing and having fun with them, and not wanting them to get caught up in putting their self-worth into the competition/talent coz that would have been damaging if they lost or did not meet the expectation. I just love how the whole programme is so building and inspiring!
