This week, the church office is closing from Tues - Fri (hooray!). Time really flies, and it's already the end of my 2nd week at work, and the start of my 3rd week. How bizarre is that?? Work has been slow, which is great coz I'm getting my body adjusted with waking up early, lasting the whole day, and trying to sleep early again for the next day. I have been unsuccessful! The first week was all about migraines and the second week was all about staying awake (in my cubicle).
While keeping my mind occupied when the body was idle, I thought, "hey I should post a picture of my cubicle." So here it is:
Well, actually that WAS my cubicle. You see, when I came in, they didn't have a place for me yet coz a reshuffling of the office was going to take place soon. So I waited and lived with this simple set up for one and half weeks.
Here's another picture of the office, part of the surrounding area where I sit:
Last Thursday and Friday, the move (reshuffling) begun. The office ended up being a disaster site. It was a little crazy. There wasn't any plan so everyone just moved out TOGETHER causing jams and backlocks among the office aisles. Staffs were shifting out their desks, cupboards, shelves, books, computers, etc. Imagine this, A is moving into B's room, B is moving into C's room and C is moving into D's room. So if D isn't ready to shift, B is stuck in the aisles with the desk, and A can't move out coz there's no where to walk, coz E - Z's are doing the exact same thing, how could anything move??
Anyway, this was on Thursday, the Pre-move. As you can see, some of the pastors were lepak-ing after packing and getting rid of things:
This was on Friday, when it got crazy. I didn't get to take more shots coz I was busy helping others with their stuff.
Being a little OCD, I was irked by the years of dirt, dust, grime and bacteria that surfaced during the move...hahaha...it was gross I tell you. Plus they didn't open the office windows during the shift. Thank goodness I came prepared with my bandana and wore it as a mask. When I finally moved to my place, I had to baby clean wipe the entire cubicle, from the partition to the desk to the phone. You could see on the wipe, green, yellow and black stuff on it...bluegh! It felt good and sterilized after that. Phew :) I'll take a photo of my new clean desk (doesn't look much different from the previous one) and post it up soon. I'm looking at decorating it but that's still in the works.
Before I end, you should clean and sterilized your desk, cubicle and computer/laptop this week (especially your mouse and keyboard). Really. Give it a go. Trust me, after this, you would see the need to do this frequently every once in 3 weeks.
